A few thoughts about who seeks therapy...

Generally people seeking therapy have tried to solve problems without getting the results that they need to lead the life they hope to have.

They seek and want to allow themselves to have help with a variety of situations.  Sometimes emotional illness due to depression, anxiety, trauma, or other events can require the care of a therapist to maintain a satisfactory state of mind.  Often people choose therapy when a situation has reached a crisis mode.  However, this need not be the case. Many issues are present in life including adjusting in relationships, becoming aware of boundaries, growing and acheiving one's potential.   One can need a consultant to aid in discovering, supporting or analyzing opportunities that are present, but need to be assessed for appropriateness of action.

So you see, you need not minimize your reasons for seeking help to gain input from

a caring and qualified therapist.
